Which guitar amp should I buy?

I'm looking to buy a new guitar amp for around $900 - $1000 Australian. I want something that I can play basically anything on because I play mainly Metal, Soft Rock and Punk Rock. I've currently had my eye on the Peavey Valveking and the Line 6 Spider IV and I don't know which one to choose out of them. I also want to do good pinch harmonics as well. If anyone can suggest any other amps that would be great. Thanks.
